Yes, if your state does not have apprenticeship guidelines in place, you need to apply for a School of Cosmetology license. And the forms, contracts and other documents that are on the CD can be used to complete that application.

When you are only going to be training 1 to 2 students at a time, they should make an exception on things such as the minimum square footage. Someone wishing to obtain their license can save the cost of the tuition and still be able to work around completing their apprenticeship hours. ×Depending on the state it could be up to two years for full Cosmetologist apprenticeship. A Manicurist apprenticeship is only 6 month and 6 months for an Esthetician apprenticeship. Check your individual state requirements.
